Our
Mission & Values

We are dedicated to providing opportunities for families in the Mukilteo School District to live a better life. Our purpose is to "feed and assist those in need within the Mukilteo School District by supplying nutritional food to anyone in time of need, regardless of race, sex, age, national origin, disability, marital status, religion, creed, or sexual orientation."

The Mukilteo Food Bank began as an informal food pantry in 1979 in the Mukilteo Presbyterian Church. In February, 2002, it was incorporated as a separate organization, but it continues to be located in and work closely with the Presbyterian Church.  The Food Bank is an exceptionally efficient charity which collects and distributes well over $100,000 worth of food each year to more than 200 families. Because it is an all-volunteer operation and receives donations of all kinds, operation expenses are minimal. Despite being very efficient, the fifty to sixty volunteers involved with the Food Bank always work diligently to honor the inherent dignity of every client.
